Multifocal intraocular lenses are a significant contribution for the patients who want to see both near and distance without the aid of spectacles. Technical defects of the intraocular lenses and adaptation characteristics of the patients are the handicaps for their extensive use. Unpredictable neuroadaptation time period and lacking a methodology for the assesment of the success criteria inhibits the clinical success. Keywords : Multifocal Intraocular lens, neuroadaptation
