During her left eye examination, a slight elevation in peripheral iris associated with pigmentary changes at 3 o’clock quadrant was noticed. Although further studies involving Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) showed no pathology, Ultrasound biomicroscopy (UBM) was successfull defining multiple C. ciliaris cyst. Ciliary body visualization is difficult with slit-lamb biomicroscopy. Iridociliary cysts are extremely common, usually asymptomatic and usually clinically undetectable during slit-lamb exam. Some subtle ciliary body pathologic conditions can be easily overlooked. Iridociliary cysts may result with angle closure glaucoma. MRI is usually inefficient to detect these pathologies.UBM should be considered a potentially helpful diagnostic adjunct defining anterior segment pathologies.
